Skin tester through optical imaging technology, it can visualize the condition of the skin surface, such as wrinkles, pores, pigmentation and other problems. At the same time, some advanced skin testers can also utilize the bioresistive resistance method to assess the skin's moisture content, oil secretion, and other deep-seated physiological conditions.

The bioresistive resistance method relies mainly on the conduction of electric current on the skin surface to assess the moisture content of the skin, the state of the stratum corneum, and so on. This method indirectly infers the physiological parameters of the skin by measuring the skin's resistance to electric current, i.e., electrical impedance.
The Nanochap BMS002 is a SoC chip that detects biomarker biomolecule signals. It contains a highly sensitive 4-electrode current measurement module, an embedded ARM Cortex-M0 MCU and an impedance measurement module that connects directly to a coin cell battery, providing an effective solution for bioelectrical impedance applications.

Principle of the Nanochap Nine Senses Series BMS002 in a skin tester:
After the skin tester containing the BMS002 chip is energized, a weak current is applied to the skin, which passes through the impedance measurement module built into the BMS002 chip;
Measuring the impedance change as the current passes through the skin, the condition of the skin can be assessed;
In turn, the skin tester can analyze the skin's water content, oil secretion, skin elasticity, and the condition of blood vessels under the skin.
In the skin tester, the BMS002 chip realizes non-invasive, efficient and quantitative impedance detection by matching different electrodes and probes. Its high sensitivity and low noise characteristics enable it to capture changes in moisture content and stratum corneum on the skin, thus providing more accurate detection results. At the same time, the BMS002 chip is also characterized by a fast response time, enabling it to complete measurements in a short period of time, greatly improving detection efficiency.
The BMS002 chip has two built-in circuits: an impedance detection circuit and a micro-current detection circuit. Thanks to the two different detection circuits, the BMS002 chip can detect a wide range of biomolecular signals: blood glucose, lactate, uric acid, bilirubin, electrolytes, creatinine, cholesterol, and so on. Applications are not only limited to the beauty industry, but also in the fields of biomarker detection, peptide/enzyme/metabolite detection, and so on.
